Sample MIS Reports


MIS produce several salary report (by positions, by region, by industry) and compensation or HR professionals will use those data to match their jobs and descriptions to similar jobs and descriptions in order to identify the market pay rate for each position. This process is also called compensation benchmarking / salary benchmarking. This is mainly to help company to define a fair and competitive salary for the employees of a company.


In salary report, there's market value of average, median and quartiles (25th & 75th percentiles). The 25th and 75th percentiles are known as first and third quartiles or lower and upper quartiles, respectively, the median is also known as second quartile or 50th percentile. It is always good to compare to quartiles figure when the sample size is small or less (the end-result would not affect by extreme value).



Employee benefits, also known as perks benefits, are provided to employees in addition to salaries and wages. These employee benefit packages may include annual leave, overtime, medical insurance, retirement benefits and etc. Benefits can be quite valuable.


MIS produce an overall analysis summary report (by categories) to show general market practice among the participating company. Also, a detailed individual input on every benefits item are given in order to do extra analysis. MIS have survey up to 30 benefits item.
